Bulldog tennis swept in Hilton Head
Men fall twice, women once, to open spring break play

HILTON HEAD, S.C.—The Adrian College tennis teams were swept on Monday in Hilton Head, South Carolina.

The AC men fell 0-8 to St. John’s University (Minn.) to open the day and later were downed 1-8 by Mercyhurst.

The Bulldog women were dropped 0-8 by Mercyhurst in their only match of the day.

At second doubles, Steven Kerwin and Danny Krsteski put up a fight in both of their contests, losing 4-8 against St. John’s and 3-8 versus Mercyhurst. Krsteski fell 3-6, 4-6 in second singles against St. John’s, while Ryan Schmidli lost 3-6, 3-6 at sixth singles against SJU.

In the women’s loss to Mercyhurst, LeAnn Brooks and Karen Kruisenga fell 8-3 at second doubles. Sandy Towler fell 2-6, 1-6 at first singles.

The tennis squads are back in action on Wednesday when they face Augustana at 1 p.m. in Hilton Head.
