Lindsay
Matthews will be the assistant coach for
the first synchronized skating team at Adrian
College. Matthews is a highly accomplished
skater who will bring added input and knowledge
to the Bulldogs’ team.
The
Saline, Michigan native has 15 years of
synchronized skating experience, including
eight years on an elite U.S. International
Team. Matthews has represented the United
States at competitions in Denmark, Italy,
Switzerland, Finland, Croatia, and the Czech
Republic. In 2004, she skated for Team USA
2 at the World Synchronized Skating Championships
held in Croatia.
She
continues to compete with the Crystallettes
out of Dearborn, Michigan, where she has
served as a co-captain. Additionally, Matthews
has passed her Senior Moves in the Field
test, her Novice Freestyle test, and her
Pre-gold ice dancing tests.
Matthews
has her Associates Degree in Liberal Arts
from Washtenaw Community College. She is
is currently working toward a degree in
Animal Behavior and Neuro Biology
