Molly
Moore is in her ninth season as the head
coach of the Adrian College softball program.
She was named head coach in the fall of
1998, after serving one year as the Bulldog’s
assistant coach. Moore also served as a
women’s soccer assistant coach from
1997-2001.
Moore
(formerly Ziegler) is a 1994 graduate of
Adrian College. She holds a master’s
degree in Organizational Leadership from
Siena Heights University. In addition to
her head coaching responsibilities, she
is a part-time instructor in the department
of exercise science/physical education.
She is also the Bulldog’s senior women's
administrator.
In
her coaching career at Adrian, Moore has
coached two NCAA All-Region picks and eleven
All-MIAA picks. In addition, her Bulldog
teams have excelled in the classroom, earning
individual Academic All-District honors,
NFCA Scholar-Athlete honors, and individual
MIAA Scholar-Athlete honors. As a team,
the Bulldogs have been named a Top 10 NFCA
Academic Team (placing 2nd among all Division
III programs, and 12th among all NCAA and
NAIA divisions nationally for cumulative
GPA). They have also been honored with the
MIAA Team GPA award twice since the awards’
inception several years ago.
Before
returning to Adrian College in 1997, Moore
taught English, Health, and Physical Education
at Saint Mary Catholic Central High School
in Monroe. She served as a coach in both
the girls’ softball and basketball
programs at SMCC.
Moore
and her husband, Marc ’93, have two
sons, Nicholas and Nolan.
