Sheets named first-team All-MIAA, Batway second team
Sophomores combined for 53 RBI and 17 doubles

ADRIAN, Mich.—Adrian College’s Krissy Sheets (Temperance/Bedford) has been named first-team All-MIAA by the league softball coaches while fellow Bulldog Carmen Batway (LaSalle/Monroe) earned second-team recognition.

Sheets led the MIAA in batting average at .510 and on-base percentage at .536, both school records. She also ranked second in the league in steals with 21. The centerfielder also had a .618 slugging percentage with five doubles and three triples, registering 15 RBI, while leading the team with 31 runs. She struck out only six times in 109 at-bats. In the field she recorded 49 putouts and three assists.

Batway led the MIAA in slugging percentage at .780, while ranking fifth in the conference in batting average at .427 and ranking third with 38 RBI. Her 12 doubles tied her for second in the MIAA. She was second on the Adrian team with five home runs and had a .515 on-base percentage, also second on the team. Batway recorded 56 putouts and 62 assists at shortstop.

Meghan Lohr, Meghan Stevens and Carly Toth were all named to the honorable-mention list for the 2007 season.

Lohr led AC with six home runs, while Stevens had four dingers and three triples. Toth hit .410 on the year with six doubles and two home runs.

Adrian College went 16-14 on the year and 5-11 in the MIAA, finishing seventh.
