Sheets named first-team all-region
Sophomore set two school records, led MIAA in
hitting

Mich.—Adrian
College sophomore centerfielder Krissy Sheets
(Temperance/Bedford) has been named to the Louisville
Slugger National Fastpitch Coaches Association
all-central region first team for her play in
her first season as a Bulldog.
Sheets
led the MIAA in batting average at .510 and on-base
percentage at .536, both school records. She also
ranked second in the league in steals with 21.
The centerfielder also had a .618 slugging percentage
with five doubles and three triples, registering
15 RBI, while leading the team with 31 runs.
She
struck out only six times in 109 at-bats. In the
field she recorded 49 putouts and three assists.
With
the first-team all-region nod, Sheets is now eligible
for All-American consideration from the NFCA.
Adrian
College went 16-14 on the year and 5-11 in the
MIAA, finishing seventh.
