drop two to Saint Mary’s College
Vangoss pitches well in game
one, Stevens hits fourth HR
ADRIAN,
Mich.—
The Adrian College softball team was swept by
Saint Mary’s College on Monday afternoon,
3-5 and 3-10, on the AC campus.
Andrea
Vangoss pitched very well in game one, not allowing
an earned run and seven hits to the 25-7 Belles.
She forced 12 ground outs and eight pop outs,
while walking four.
Krissy
Sheets was 3-for-4 in game one, while Carmen Batway
drilled a home run and was 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Lindsay Tomasak was 1-for-2 with a run and an
RBI.
In
game two, the Belles plated four runs in the first
and second inning, with the second inning runs
coming on a grand slam. Lindsay Mandeville pitched
all six innings, allowing seven earned runs on
10 hits with one walk.
Jenna
Kloster was 2-for-2 with a run and a double, while
Meghan Stevens launched her fourth home run of
the year.
The
Bulldogs are 15-13 overall and 4-10 in the MIAA.
Adrian
will travel to Calvin College tomorrow for a 3:30
p.m. twinbill with the Knights.
