Bulldogs have won six-straight with sweep of RC
Batway drives in seven runs in twin bill

ADRIAN, Mich.— The Adrian College softball team improved to 10-2 on the season with a 13-1, 15-4 sweep of Rochester College at home on Tuesday afternoon.

Carmen Batway led the Bulldogs with seven RBI in a 3-for-6 day with three runs, a home run and a double. Emily McLane was 4-for-4 in the double-header, accounting for five runs and two RBI. Meghan Lohr was 4-for-6 with three runs and two RBI.

Lindsay Mandeville earned the win in game one, going five innings and allowing one unearned run on five hits with a walk and a strike out. Andrea Vangoss won game two in five innings of work with three earned runs, three K’s and a walk. Both pitchers are now 5-1 on the year.

Through the first 12 games of the season, 10 Bulldogs are hitting .400 or better.

Adrian will next take on Defiance College at home on Thursday at 3 p.m.
