Men's Soccer ties Calvin again
GRAND
RAPIDS, Mich.—The
Adrian College men’s soccer team tied
Calvin College for the second time this season,
this time 1-1 in Grand Rapids.
Ryan
O’Keefe posted 12 saves for the Bulldogs,
who were out shot 33-1 in regulation play, but
O’Keefe and the AC defense held after
allowing a goal 18 minutes into the game. Matt
Luthardt scored for Adrian in the 84th minute
off a Dusty Kendall assist to knot the game
at one apiece.
Eric
Drake got a shot on goal in regulation in the
Bulldogs’ only scoring chance in extra
time.
Calvin
had 10 corner kicks to none for Adrian. The
Knights committed 18 fouls to AC’s 16.
The
Bulldogs are now 2-10-4 on the season and 2-6-3
in the MIAA.
Adrian
returns to the Performance Stadium tomorrow
for a 7 p.m. non-conference game against Anderson
University.
