Bulldogs stick it to Scots, 4-2

ADRIAN, Mich.—The Adrian College men’s soccer team won their second consecutive game on Tuesday night at the Performance Stadium, defeating Alma College, 4-2.

Eric Drake willed the Bulldogs to victory, recording two assists and a goal, while Sean Dillon, Nate Bauer, and Brian Bain each added goals and Mike Prud’homme was credited with an assist.

Frankie Brun scored both of the Scots’ goals, one on an assist from Dan Laatz.

Adrian opened the scoring in the 15th minute when Dillon powered a shot past James Thomson. Four minutes later Nate Bauer scored off a Drake miss to put the hosts up by two. Brun brought Alma to within one after a defensive lapse in the 21st minute by the Bulldogs, but less than a minute later Brian Bain gave the Bulldogs another two-goal advantage off Prud’homme’s assist.

Drake’s second-half goal came in the 69th minute, finishing off of a long assist from Merwin. Brun closed out the game’s scoring, beating AC’s Ryan O’Keefe for the second time at the 81-minute mark.
