J.R.
Zapata is in his first year as the inside linebackers
coach at Adrian College.
Zapata
comes to Adrian after serving as an assistant
coach at Waterford Mott High School where he served
as the linebackers coach, and Livonia Franklin
High School where he was the offensive coordinator.
He also gained valuable experience as the linebacker
coordinator at Chris Roberson NFL Skills Camps.
An
All-MIAA performer at Adrian College, Zapata was
named the team’s most valuable defensive
lineman following the 2003 season.
Zapata
is a 2004 graduate of Adrian College, earning
a bachelor’s degree in business administration
and a minor in psychology.
