Westenberg named MIAA Player of the Week

ADRIAN, Mich.-- Adrian College senior free safety Mark Westenberg of Milford (Milford HS) has been named the MIAA Defensive Player of the Week.

Westenberg had seven tackles, including two for lost yardage, in the Bulldogs' 31-26 victory over Albion. He also recovered a fumble and broke up two passes.

On the season, Westenberg has 41 tackles, a team-high four interceptions 2.5 sacks and two fumble recoveries.

The Bulldogs are 5-4 overall and 4-2 in the MIAA. They will play their season finale this Saturday at Alma College at 1 p.m.
