Spencer earns MIAA Player of
the Week honors
ADRIAN,
Mich.—Adrian
College place kicker James Spencer of Troy (Troy HS)
has been named MIAA Special Teams Player of the Week
for the sixth time in his career.
Spencer
hit field goals of 24 and 25 yards in the Bulldogs’
28-20 loss at Hope on Saturday and hit both of his
PAT attempts.
On
the season, Spencer is 5-for-11 with a long kick of
43 yards. On kick-offs, he averages 45.3 yards per
attempt and has one touchback.
For
his career, Spencer owns every kicking record at Adrian
and his 183 total points is just 15 points off the
career scoring record at AC.
The
Bulldogs are 3-4 on the season and 2-3 in the MIAA.
AC hits the road again next Saturday, traveling to
Wisconsin Lutheran College for a noon (CST) kick-off.
