Spangler named to D3Football.com’s Team of the Week

ADRIAN, Mich.— Adrian College sophomore defensive end Matt Spangler of Delta, Ohio (Delta HS) has been named to D3Football.com’s National Team of the Week for his performance in last Saturday’s 42-10 win over Tri-State University.

Spangler had two quarterback sacks, two other tackles for lost yardage and a pass interception in the Bulldogs' win. He finished with eight tackles, five of them solos, and had two quarterback hurries.

Spangler has been the biggest surprise of the Bulldogs’ stellar defensive unit this season. The sophomore is third on the team with 31 tackles. He has also posted 6.0 tackles-for-loss and 3.5 sacks.

The Bulldogs are 3-3 on the season, 2-1 in the MIAA and play at Hope College (3-3, 3-0 MIAA) on Saturday at 1 p.m.
