EARNS MIAA PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONOR
Adrian College honored third week in a row
ADRIAN,
Mich. -- The Adrian College football team
continues to gain recognition for their outstanding
start to the 2007 season. With a perfect 4-0 record
thus far, the MIAA has honored a Bulldog with the
Defensive Player of the Week distinction for the third
week in a row.
This
week, senior defensive back Chris Elsey of Brighton
(Brighton HS) earned the league honor for his play
in Adrian’s 45-7 victory in their conference
opener against Kalamazoo College. Elsey was credited
with eight tackles, including three solo tackles.
He had 1.5 tackles for lost yardage, two pass breakups,
a pass knockdown and a blocked punt in the win.
The
Bulldogs will look to continue their winning ways
when they host Olivet College at the Performance Stadium
on Saturday, October 6 for Homecoming at 7:00 p.m.
