Joel Howland is in his first season as the assistant defensive line coach at Adrian College.

A two-time All-MIAA defensive end, he ranks second on the all-time sack list at AC with 15 after lettering from 2003 to 2006 for the Bulldogs.

Howland also served as a team captain for the 2006 season and led the Bulldogs with 10.0 tackles for loss.
