Adrian’s
Klotz named one of nation’s best
and brightest coaches
ADRIAN,
Mich.--
Adrian College defensive coordinator
Aaron Klotz has been named to the annual
“Hot Coaches” list by American
Football Monthly.
American
Football Monthly recognizes a small
group of coaches every summer as the
best and brightest in the nation. Klotz
was one of 80 coaches at all levels,
from high school to the NFL, recognized
in the August issue.
Entering
his fifth season of leading the Bulldog
defense, Klotz has coached three All-Americans
in the past two seasons and directed
a unit that led the Michigan Intercollegiate
Athletic Association in total defense
in 2005.
Other
coaches named to the list included Dan
Hawkins of Colorado, Bobby Petrino of
Louisville and Marvin Lewis of the Cincinnati
Bengals.
Klotz
was a four-year letter winner in both
football and baseball at AC and was
named conference MVP on the diamond
and an All-American on the gridiron
as a senior.
The
Adrian alumnus will look to continue
the success of the Bulldog defense when
Adrian hosts Defiance College in their
season opener on Sept. 9.
