Bulldogs blank Bluffton, 20-0

BLUFFTON, Ohio-- The Adrian College football team picked up where they left off two weeks ago by defeating the Bluffton University Beavers 20-0 on Saturday.

The Bulldogs started the scoring when freshman quarterback Mike McGee connected with Joseph Beehler for a 45 yard touchdown pass with 1:09 left in the first half of play. Justin Warner converted the P.A.T. to put the visiting Bulldogs up 7-0 going into halftime.

After a scoreless third quarter, the Bulldogs got on the scoreboard again when McGee completed his second TD pass of the game to Clinton Miller. The missed kick after the eight yard pass gave AC the 13-0 advantage. The scoring was wrapped up when Troy Niblock carried the ball for a nine yard touchdown run with Warner converting the extra point for the 20-0 victory.

McGee finished the game 14-25 with 192 passing yards and one interception. The Bulldogs accumulated 278 yards of total offense while allowing 129 yards on defense to the Beavers.

The Bulldogs return to the Multi-Sport Performance Stadium next Saturday, September 22 for their home-opener against Huntingdon (Ala.) at noon.
