Frequently Asked Questions

When are try-outs?
Tryouts will take place in April for the following academic year. If a fall tryout is necessary, it will take place in October.

What are the requirements?
We are looking for talented individuals that will represent our team and college in a positive manner. More specific information appears under the tryouts link.

How many freshmen do you take?
There is no limit to the number of freshman we allow on the squad.

Do you have a Varsity and Junior Varsity squad?
No, we do not have a separation of Varsity and Junior Varsity. Everyone cheers football season. The team is broken into groups for basketball games during the weekdays and we cheer a full squad for games on the weekend.

Do you have a co-ed squad?
At this time we do not have a co-ed squad, but we may offer one in the future. Keep looking on the website for new information.

How much of a time commitment should I expect?
We generally practice two times week for two-three hours. There are football games, basketball games, pep rallies, and alumni functions that we attend. Cheerleading is a large time commitment. It is extremely difficult for those that intend to participate in multiple extra curricular activities.
