| YOUTH ART PROGRAM
ANNOUNCES WINTER SESSION

Adrian College, along with the YMCA
of Lenawee County and the Lenawee Council for Visual
Arts (LCVA), will host a youth art program this winter.
The Youth Art Program is exploring
the elements of design this year. They will be concentrating
on color during their winter classes. Elementary through
junior high students will experience a variety of media
including creating colorful ceramic tiles, learning
how to felt, how to paste graining on paper and how
to use oil pastels. Students will also visit the Lenawee
Council for the Visual Arts (LCVA) Gallery in downtown
Adrian to see Shazzzaaammm, colorful works in a variety
of media. An artist from the exhibit will speak with
the students about the art presented.
Classes are scheduled for all Saturdays
between Jan. 14 and Feb. 18. They are scheduled to occur
on the Adrian College campus in the art department located
in Mahan Hall. The program is taught by experienced
teachers.
The cost of the program is $65 and
includes all supplies. Due to generous contributions
from Wacker Chemical Corporation, scholarships are available
to students who qualify for their school's free lunch
program.
