YOUTH ART PROGRAM ANNOUNCES FALL SESSION posted 9/14/05

Learn all about pattern during the fall session of the Youth Art Program.

Elementary through junior high students will experience a variety of media including decorating fabric with dye, creating colorful ceramic works, learning how to make a mosaic, and paste graining on paper. Students will also decorate animal sculptures to be donated to the Lenawee Humane Society for their upcoming auction to support the county animal shelter.

The sessions are scheduled on the Adrian College campus in Mahan Hall. They will be held on Saturdays, 9:30 a.m. - Noon, Oct. 8 - Nov. 12. The program will be taught by experienced art teachers and assisted by Adrian College art education students.

The cost is $65 and includes all supplies. Due to the generosity of the Wacker Chemical Corporation, scholarships are available for students who qualify for the free lunch program.
