INTERNATIONAL AND WORLD LANGUAGES WEEKS posted

International and World Languages Week at Adrian
College will begin
Wednesday, Oct. 16 and continue through Friday, Oct. 25. All
the events are free of charge and open to the public. International
and World Languages Week is sponsored by the Adrian College
Global Studies Committee with the support of the DeMerritt
Lectureship Fund. The events are as follows:
Wednesday, Oct. 16
INTERNATIONAL WEEK KICKOFF: A musical presentation
by Muhammed Abu Ratid (Syria)
is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
in the Adrian Tobias
Room.
Thursday, Oct. 17
INDIAN POETRY: Drs. Muqtedar Khan and Salima Peeradina
present poetry at 7:30 p.m. in Mahan Hall room 102.
Monday, Oct. 21
BAD BOYZ: A Salsa and Merengue music group will perform
at 7:30 p.m. in
the Adrian Tobias
Room.
Tuesday, Oct. 22
JANPANESE-LANGUAGE FILM: The film "Adrenaline
Drive" will be shown in Knight
Auditorium, located in North Hall, at 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday, Oct. 23
KOREAN-AMERICAN ART: Mee Kyung Shim's cultural art
work will be displayed in the Heritage Room in Shipman Library
from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
GERMAN-LANGUAGE FILM: The film "Nasty Girl"
will be shown in Knight Auditorium, located in North Hall,
at 7:30 p.m.
Thursday, Oct. 24
FRENCH-LANGUAGE FILM: The film "Amelie"
will be shown at 7:30 p.m.
in Knight Auditorium, located in North Hall, as part of Word
Language Week.
