posted 2/23/04
Works of art by Heather Elliott-Famularo,
Gregory Little, and Honor Robie are on display in Stubnitz
Gallery from Feb. 24 through Mar. 20, but will be closed
for spring break for the week of Feb. 29 through Mar.
6.
Heather Elliott-Famularo
is the Assistant Professor of Digital Arts at BGSU.
Elliott-Famularo combines digital arts, video, performance,
photography, and installation art to create her artwork.
Her MFA exhibition, Peep Show, was a digital installation
and performance that examined the relationship between
voyeurism and exhibitionism.
Gregory Little is an electronic media artist working
with philosophical and theoretical issues related to
the technologies of immersive virtual reality, netart,
and avatars; specifically with respect to issues of
identity, embodiment, and human sentience. He is also
Assistant Professor of Digital Arts at BGSU.
Honor Robie has been building a series
of seductive objects. Each object has its own history
and language blending into the others. The mythology
is told; the objects confess and tell you a secret that
begins to unveil the story.
Stubnitz Gallery is located in Downs
Hall. Gallery hours are Monday through Saturday noon
to 4 p.m., and Thursday from noon to 9 p.m. For further
information, contact gallery director Brian Steele at
517-264-3902.
