ADRIAN THEATRE PRESENTS "THE ROBBER BRIDEGROOM" posted 10/29/02

The Adrian College theatre department presents "The Robber Bridegroom," adapted from the novella by Eudora Welty, Nov. 7-9 in Dawson Auditorium at Adrian College.

Before there was the hit movie "Oh, Brother, Where Art Thou," this rousing, bawdy musical fairy tale took Broadway by storm with its Southern charm and distinctive bluegrass score. The story, from one of our nation's most beloved authors, is set in 18th century Mississippi, and traces the hilarious courtship of a rich planter's daughter with a rascally robber of the woods.

The play will be directed by Michael Allen with musical direction by Rich Alder, and choreography by Sue Smith.

Show times are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 8 p.m. Tickets are $8 for general admission and $5 for seniors. For more information, call 517-264-3922.
