DEMO MACHINE—The
demolition machine seen here is one of only two in Michigan.
It has an 85-foot reach, and the cab can pivot back on a 45-degree
angle to give the operator a clear view. This particular machine
was transported to NYC after 9/11 to help with the cleanup.

The renovation
of Ridge into a modern student center is underway! Here
are photos from the demolition of the flyloft.

WHAT'S NEXT—The
original plan was to lower and reshape the flyloft,
not to tear it down. However, the builders were concerned
that it wasn't sturdy enough to withstand the changes,
and so the plan now is to rebuild that end of the building
from the ground up.
