New students at Adrian College rolled
up their sleeves and headed into the community Friday,
Aug. 26 for “Community Plunge.”
The Plunge is one feature of Welcome
Week. Nestled between a busy schedule of meetings and
social activities, the program is meant to make a lasting
impression about the importance of volunteering. Students
do everything from washing dogs to working with the
elderly.
Some of the sites scheduled for the
day included the following:
HOPE Community Center
Lynwood Manor
Lenawee Emergency and Affordable Housing Corporation
Associated Charities
Catherine Cobb Domestic Violence Program
Lenawee Boys and Girls Club
YMCA
Lenawee Big Brothers Big Sisters
Community Action Agency
Lenawee Humane Society
City of Adrian, Parks and Recreation
Lenawee County Fairgrounds
