TWO WINTER STAR SHOWS PLANNED AT PLANETARIUM posted 1/24/05

Two shows will run simultaneously in the planetarium in the coming days.

The planetarium is located in Peelle Hall at the corner of Charles and Williams streets. All shows are free and open to public. For more information, contact Dr. Sarah Hanson at 517-264-3944.

‘Stars of Winter' Scheduled

The Robinson Planetarium at Adrian College proudly presents “Stars of Winter.”

The winter night sky contains the brightest stars of any season. This star talk covers the bright stars, constellations, and planets for this time of year, and includes several mythologies of the night sky. Some telescope objects will also be covered.

All 'Stars of Winter' shows are scheduled at 7 p.m. on the following dates:
Friday, January 28
Friday, February 4
Friday, February 25
Friday, March 4

‘Follow the Drinking Gourd' Scheduled

The Robinson Planetarium at Adrian College is pleased to present “Follow the Drinking Gourd.”

The basis for the planetarium show is Jeanette Winter’s book “Follow the Drinking Gourd.” It will take you on a journey back in time to learn how constellations helped slaves successfully find their way to freedom using the Underground Railroad.

All 'Follow the Drinking Gourd' shows are scheduled at 7 p.m. on the following dates:

Saturday, February 19
Wednesday, February 23
