‘MARS DOUBLEHEADER’ PLANNED AT PLANETARIUM posted 9/5/03

The Robinson Planetarium at Adrian College proudly presents “A Mars Doubleheader,” which includes a free show and a look through the Adrian College telescope.

First, sit back and enjoy “The Mars Show,” a planetarium show narrated by Patrick Stewart. Beginning with early discoveries, you will relive our fascination with the possibility of "Martians" living on the planet. Moving into the present, you will see Mars as we know it today and learn about the climate and geology of our neighboring planet.

Following the planetarium show, view Mars though the Adrian College telescope, weather permitting. Mars was recently closer than it has been in over 50,000 years. It will continue to be a prominent object in the night sky for quite some time.

The free shows are scheduled at 9:15 p.m. on the following dates:
Saturday, Sept. 13
Tuesday, Sept. 16
Friday, Sept. 19
Saturday, Sept. 20
Thursday, Sept. 25
Friday, Sept. 26

The planetarium is located in Peelle Hall at the corner of Charles and Williams streets. All shows free and open to public. For more information, contact Dr. Sarah Hanson at 517-264-3944.
