ADRIAN COLLEGE PRESENTS NEW STUDENT-WRITTEN ONE-ACT PLAYS posted 9/11/03

The Adrian College Chapter of Theta Alpha Phi announces its annual presentation of new student-written, one-act plays Sept. 25- 27 in the Downs Hall Theatre at Adrian College (campus map).

The plays that will be performed this year include, "Keeping it Together," "Sex Conversation," and "Insanity Plea."

"Keeping it Together" is by spring 2003 graduate William Hohnke. How strange can one night get? A series of bizarre encounters with the locals turns a simple rendezvous into a whirlwind of anxiety, as Mandy searches the city looking for her beloved James.

"Sex Conversation," by spring 2003 graduate Mike Sell, is an absurd romp through sexual innuendos and stifled communication. An encounter between two strangers immediately turns personal and the two undergo profound changes on the way to finding out who they really are.

"Insanity Plea," by junior Heather Kenyon, is about everyone's dream to meet that special someone in his or her life…and their nightmare to fall into a bad relationship that one just can't get out of…But what to do when that relationship turns violent?

Show times are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 8 p.m. Tickets are $3 for general admission.
