OPERA WORKSHOP PRESENTS "HANSEL AND GRETEL" posted 12/9/05

Adrian College’s Opera Workshop students present their first ever fully-staged opera, Humperdinck’s “Hansel and Gretel” on Sunday, Dec. 11 at 8 p.m. in Dawson Auditorium.

The opera will be sung in English and is under the musical direction of adjunct Valrie Kantorski with stage direction by adjunct Elizabeth Major. Featured roles will be sung by senior Rachel Boleski as Gretel, sophomore Kelly Fox as Hansel, senior Aaron Taylor as the Father, and senior Gerianne Ditto as the Mother.

The remainder of the cast consists of junior Eric Swarnson and sophomore Jessica Kobel as the witches, junior Sarah Texter as the Sandman and freshman Penelope Hallas as the Dewfairy.

This performance is free and open to the public.
