MID-WINTER BAND CONCERT
SCHEDULED AT ADRIAN COLLEGE posted

The Adrian College band will perform
on Feb. 19, at 5 p.m., along with special guest bands
from Madison Schools 7th and 8th grades and Sand Creek
High School.
The concert will include a variety
of music, ranging from traditional marches to contemporary
works. The Adrian College Band will perform the Lenawee
County premier of the wind band version of “Cloudburst,”
a new work by acclaimed composer Eric Whitacre. The
bands from Madison (Mary-Beth Madziar, director) and
Sand Creek (Michael Pratt, director) will perform their
2006 festival repertoires.
This concert is presented in conjunction
with “Performing Arts Scholarship Day.”
High school seniors are encouraged to attend and audition
for band, vocal, and orchestral scholarships for up
to $1,000 per semester. Students are not required to
major in music to qualify. For more information, call

This is free and open to the public.
