Chemistry students introduce
area children to the wonders of science
ADRIAN, Mich. – Adrian College
chemistry students are hard at work learning what happens
when you mix up chemicals.
It's not just because they like to
make things flame and foam - it's because they're getting
ready for the 10th annual “Magic of Science”
show on Monday, Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. in Dawson Auditorium.
The show will feature colorful flames,
fireworks, and other effects produced by chemical reactions.
“It's student led," said
Dr. Keith McCleary, Adrian chemistry professor. "I'm
their advisor, but they almost completely design and
run the show.”
“The Magic of Science”
is free and open to the public, and community educators
from around the area have been encouraged to attend.
More information can be obtained by contacting Keith
McCleary at 517-264-3931 or kmccleary@adrian.edu.
Dawson Auditorium is located on Charles
Street on the Adrian College campus.
