–Rev. Chris Momany, Adrian College Chaplain

The Adrian College community is deeply troubled by the devastation caused by the hurricane. The College raised over $3,400 to donate to the American Red Cross. The contributions were part of a campus-wide effort for faculty and staff to donate 10 percent of their last paycheck. College Chaplain Chris Momany collected the individual checks and delivered them to the Adrian American Red Cross office on Sept. 12.

Adrian is registered with the Red Cross to offer housing assistance to hurricane victims, if the need arises. The College will also offer expedited guest/visiting student enrollment for fall 2005, and campus housing and financial aid assistance. Contact Admissions at 1-800-877-2246.

The students at Adrian College continue to respond to the disaster. They are organizing a benefit concert, and the Adrian College chapter of Habitat for Humanity is planning Shack-A-Thon, an event where students will sleep in boxes in recognition of the tragedy. Regular Wednesday chapels continue to include time for various forms of response.
