The Adrian College English Department recently welcomed back Juilene Osborne McKnight, noted storyteller and author of “I Am Of Irelaunde,” “Daughter of Ireland,” and “Bright Sword of Ireland.”

Her visit on Oct. 10 included an informal Meet the Author reception, and a public reading.

Osborne McKnight taught in Adrian’s English Department in the early 1990s.

A teacher for more than 25 years, Osborne-McKnight has taught Shakespearean drama, creative writing and Celtic and Native American literature and mythology. She has been a middle school and high school teacher and a college professor. Additionally, she has worked as a newspaper and magazine columnist and as a feature writer for such publications as Parabola, The Antioch Review, Dutchess, Highlights for Children, Hudson Valley and most recently the Journal of the British Association of Open Learning.
