ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL WEEK posted

Adrian College will host International
Week, "Freedom Has No Borders: International Human
Rights and Activism," Monday, Oct. 20 through Friday,
Oct. 24. All events are free and open to the public.
The week kicks off with Bad Boyz (live
salsa music), scheduled 7 p.m. Monday in the Adrian
Tobias Room. On Tuesday, hear Adrian students discuss
their experiences abroad during the study abroad panel,
scheduled noon to 1 p.m. in the Adrian Tobias Room.
The week continues with a panel on
U.S. policy and anti-Americanism at 7 p.m. on Wednesday
in the Adrian Tobias Room. Participants include Dave
Clark, editor of the Daily Telegram, and Adrian professors
Dr. Muqtedar Khan and Dr. William Tregea. On Thursday,
watch the film "Salt of the Earth" in Knight
Auditorium at 7 p.m.
The week comes to a conclusion with
the presentation "Amnesty International and Student
Chapters: You Are Not Helpless!" from 12:15-1:15
p.m. in Jones Hall room 307.
International Week is sponsored by
the DeMerritt Lectureship, which is funded by the estate
of former Adrian businessman Edward C. DeMerritt, and
which brings social studies speakers to campus.
