ARTIST
WILL PARDEE FEATURED IN HERITAGE ROOM
posted 3/5/03
During the month of March -
which is Disabilities Awareness Month - the works of
artist Will Pardee will be on display in the Heritage
Room of Shipman Library.
Pardee has taken his art to a new
level since a diving accident made him a quadripiliegic.
Clenching a pencil between his teeth, he creates ducks,
deer, Model T trucks, lighthouses, and backyard scenes,
among other things.
Each drawing can take up to three
months to complete. Pardee claims his inspiration comes
from his faith in God, and from the life story of quadripiliegic
artist Joni Eareckson Tada.
