SENIOR ART MAJOR PRESENTS "RUFFS IN RETROSPECT" posted 1/31/03

"Ruffs in Retrospect," an art exhibit featuring the work of senior art major Amanda Brown, is scheduled Feb. 2 through Feb. 28 in Shipman Library's Heritage Room.

Brown was offered the show after receiving the Outstanding Senior Exhibition award during last fall's student exhibition. The show will include relief and intaglio prints, as well as ceramic sculptures that merge textural organic vessels with elements of the human form.

The exhibit is open to the public during normal library hours: Sunday noon to 11 p.m., Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The library is located on Williams Street.

Brown is a 1999 graduate of Brighton High School, and is the daughter of Robert and Gaylann Brown.
