ATHLETES PATROL ADRIAN ON HALLOWEEN NIGHT posted 10/27/03

People in Adrian might wonder why there are so many big Trick or Treaters this year.

The students aren't looking for candy. They're on a community service project. Members of the Student Athlete Advisory Board at Adrian College are helping to patrol the city of Adrian during Trick or Treating on Oct. 31.

Approximately 50 Adrian College students will split up in teams of two and three to walk various neighborhoods. Along the way, they'll lend a helping hand to neighborhood children - whether it's aiding someone who is lost, or guiding someone across the street.

The Student Athlete Advisory Board consists of members from each of the College's teams. It has two purposes: to form a link between student athletes and the athletic administration, and to serve as a vehicle for community service projects.

Wonder how to recognize the students on Halloween? They will all be wearing Adrian College apparel.
