Adrian College will host the sixth
annual Dance Marathon on April 2. Students will dance
for 24 hours to raise money for the Elizabeth Glaser
Pediatric AIDS Foundation. Students will be on their
feet from 9 a.m. Saturday until 10 a.m. Sunday (daylight
savings time) at the Merillat Sport & Fitness Center.
According to Kevin Schwemmin, student
activities director, Adrian was the first college to
organize a dance marathon for this foundation. Dance
marathons are now held at campuses across the country.
The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS
Foundation is the leading nonprofit organization committed
to ensuring better medical treatments for children,
preventing mother-to-child transmission of HIV, and
creating a healthier future for children worldwide.
This year's theme is "Overcoming
strife on the playground of life." To make donations
