TO SPEAK AT CONVOCATION

Andrew Knoll will share from his book, "Life on
a Young Planet"
Andrew
Knoll, a celebrated paleontologist and author, is scheduled
to speak in Dawson Auditorium on Wednesday, April 13
at 12:15 p.m., as part of the Convocation speaker series.
In the full history of life on Earth,
ancient animals form only the half-billion year tip
of a nearly four billion year iceberg. What about prehistoric
bacteria? In his presentation, “Life on a Young
Planet,” Knoll explores the dynamic processes
involved in the deep history of life.
Fisher Professor of Natural History
at Harvard University, Andrew Knoll has been hailed
by Time magazine as America’s best paleontologist.
He is the author of “Life on a Young Planet: The
First Three Billion Years of Evolution on Earth,”
and has recently served as a key advisor on the mission
to explore the surface of Mars.
Convocation is free and open
to the public. Dawson Auditorium is located on Charles
Street on the Adrian College campus.
