Editor's letter

In August 2001 we embarked on an ambitious project as we took the plunge and redesigned Contact. We knew the publication needed a major cosmetic makeover, but we also wanted to address timely and important issues and build pride in Adrian College.

Three issues into the "new" Contact, we are happy with where we're going but realize that the road is long. We are still tinkering with design issues, and we are determining which "running feature" has the most staying power.

Which is where you come in. We have received tons of feedback, both positive and negative, and the single feature concept that alumni are embracing is "Tell Us." Readers love finding out "how you met your spouse" or "what pranks did you partake in while at AC." We receive more favorable comments about this feature than any other feature that we produce. The problem is, we don't always garner enough submissions, and we scramble to fill the space. What's the matter?  Cat got your tongue?

Last issue we asked, "Who was your favorite professor, and why?" We received a few excellent submissions, but we want more! So we're asking again. Think back to a favorite class, or a professor who made a lasting impression, and send stories to contact@adrian.edu. We want to hear from you. After all, this is your magazine.

My best,
