The Concert Band seeks new musicians

Musicians throughout Lenawee County are invited to participate in the Adrian Concert Band this fall. The Adrian Concert Band is a college/community symphonic band that performs standard concert band compositions at Dawson Auditorium four or five times each year.

There is no audition and no registration fee. Rehearsals are each Monday from 7 to 9:30 p.m. in Spencer Rehearsal Hall at Adrian College. Experienced players are invited to the first rehearsal on Monday, Aug. 26. Registration is at 6:30 p.m.

Tiffany J. Engle is the conductor. Engle is pursuing her doctoral degree in wind conducting at Michigan State University, where she has been invited to conduct the MSU Campus Band. She holds degrees in wind conducting and saxophone performance from Ithaca College (New York) and Capital University (Ohio).

The band will perform at the annual Adrian College Showcase Concert on Nov. 16 at 8 p.m. in Dawson Auditorium.
