ADRIAN COLLEGE REACHES OUT TO COMMUNITY
Students participate in Community Outreach Week posted 3/20/06

Beginning March 27 and continuing through March 31, student volunteers from Adrian College will participate in the school's first Community Outreach Week. This week of service will include
students from all departments of the College, who will volunteer their time at such places as Lynwood Manor and the Humane Society.

Adrian College Michigan Campus Compact/AmeriCorps*Vista coordinator Francesca Mangine has worked to organize this project. Mangine provides leadership in community service and service-learning efforts at Adrian College. She works to increase student involvement in community service and coordinates the partnership between Adrian College and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lenawee County.

"Community Outreach Week is a week in which students have an opportunity to participate in service events," said Mangine. "If this event goes well this year I am hoping to make it grow next year."
