The Adrian
College music department will host the fifth annual
Invitational Choral Festival in the Adrian College Chapel
on Sunday, Oct. 17 at 3 p.m. (Doors will open at 2:45
p.m.) This free concert will feature several local high
schools, including Adrian, Tecumseh, South Lyon, Warren
Woods Tower and Bedford, as well as the choirs of Adrian
College. Each choir will perform two selections.
The adjudicator for the festival is
Eugene Rogers, who is currently a visiting instructor
at the University of Michigan. In addition to a very
successful teaching record in the public schools, Rogers
has worked with the Glen Ellyn Children's Chorus, the
University of Michigan Men's Glee Club, and the University
Choir. He has also served as the artistic director and
conductor of the Boys Choir of Harlem.
At the choral festival, you
will have the opportunity to hear each of the choirs
perform their selections and then watch as Professor
Rogers takes them to the next level. Join us for a wonderful
opportunity to hear some of the best high school choirs
in our area. This concert is free and open to the public.
The Adrian College Chapel is located on Charles Street.
