ADRIAN CONCERT BAND AND COLLEGE CHOIR PRESENT THEIR WINTER CONCERT posted 2/14/05

The Adrian Concert Band and College Choir will present their Winter Concert on Thursday, Feb. 24 at 7:30 p.m. in the Adrian College Chapel.

The program will include a wide variety of selections ranging from secular to sacred, and from classical to Broadway. The finale will combine the choir and band in a medley of songs by the great Irving Berlin, including “There’s No Business Like Show Business,” “Alexander’s Ragtime Band,” “Puttin’ on the Ritz,” “Blue Skies,” “Always,” and “God Bless America.”

Adrian College Jazz Concert

In addition to the winter concert, the Adrian College Jazz Band will give a concert at noon on Thursday, Feb. 24 in the Ridge Student Center. The program will feature a wide variety of big band jazz including Count Basie's “April in Paris” and a vocal solo featuring junior music theatre major Heather Smith on “When I Fall in Love.”
