BENEFIT CONCERT TO HELP PEDIATRIC AIDS posted 1/14/03

Even though the choir tour is at the same time as Adrian College's annual Dance Marathon, two students from the music department decided they could still do their part for the cause.

Freshmen Ben Rosebrock (Stryker, Ohio) and Eric Swanson (Grand Ledge, Mich.) have organized a benefit concert for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. It is scheduled Jan. 24 at 7 p.m. in Downs Hall, and will feature performances by Adrian College's men's ensemble, women's ensemble, a trumpet quartet, a percussion ensemble, a strings trio and many solo performances. Tickets are $5, and can be purchased at the door.

The Dance Marathon is scheduled March 14 and 15. The 20 hours of dancing is a fund raiser to benefit the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, an organization that helps children with AIDS. The marathon is at the same time as the choir tour to New York City.

Rosebrock is a 2002 graduate of Stryker High School and is the son of Bruce and Patti Rosebrock. Swanson is a 2002 graduate of Grand Ledge High School and is the son of Cindy Swanson.

Call the music department at 517-264-4468 for more information.
