ADRIAN, Mich. – Adrian College is pleased to announce the promotion of James Mahony to the position Assistant Vice President for Development.
“Jim is a knowledgeable development professional who has served Adrian College in all areas of development work for five years,” said Ron Reeves, Vice President for Development. “He is a very personable salesman of our Renaissance II vision and a key contributor for Adrian College’s future growth.”
A 2000 graduate of Adrian College, Mahony earned his Master’s Degree in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University in 2002. After working for The Ohio State University College of Dentistry with increasingly important roles, ultimately as the Director of Alumni and Development, Mahony returned to Adrian College as the Director of Development in February 2006. In May of 2007 he assumed additional responsibilities under the umbrella of Planned Giving.
In his new capacity he will provide leadership for planning, daily operations, capital funding, special events and projects.
“I am excited about the opportunity to further advance my career here at Adrian College,” said Mahony. “I look forward to providing additional leadership and strategy regarding operations and projects in the Office of Development.”
Mahony went on to add that it was an honor to come back to AC at such an exciting time in the 150+ year history of the College.
“I am extremely appreciative for this recognition and I will continue to work hard toward the goals President Docking and Vice President Reeves have set for our office.”
Mahony resides in Adrian with his wife, Lora and their children, Aiden, Cameron and Quinn.
