ADRIAN, MI. – Students will creep and crawl and have a squirming good time when the Adrian College Department of Art and Design presents “Summer ARK: Eww! Gross! Cool! Insects Galore!”, July 18-22, 2011.
Using a variety of mediums, students will create 3-D and 2-D art about bugs and other insects with materials such as paper-mâché, clay, paint, markers and water color.
Classes will be held from 9 a.m. to noon for students in grades 1-4, and 1p.m.- 4 p.m. for students in grades 5-8. Classes will take place in the big tent adjacent to Mahan Center for Art and Interior Design on Williams St. Certified art teachers Annie Howard (Adrian) and Jackie Whitely (Tecumseh) assisted by Adrian College art education students, will direct the program.
Cost for the camp is $70 per student and includes all materials. To sign up, simply submit the enrollment form and a check made out to Adrian College Art Department to: Denise Hein, Office of Conferences at Adrian College, 110 S. Madison St. Adrian, MI 49221.
