ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College Concert Bands, Jazz Ensembles, and newly formed Jazz Combos announce their annual winter concert series. These unique concerts are scheduled for 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM on Saturday, December 3rd, in Dawson Auditorium on the Adrian College campus.
The 11:00 AM concert will feature performances of Victor Herbert’s March of the Toys, a fantasia based on Do You Hear What I Hear, and more.
The 5:00 pm concert will include the jazz ensembles; a jazz quartet led by Adrian College senior Wil DeYoung, and a Dixieland Band. Selections performed by the groups will cover the spectrum of 20th century jazz, ranging from When the Saints Go Marching In to a modern arrangement of Cole Porter’s What Is This Thing Called Love. Vocalists Ashley Greer and Hannah Messerschmidt will also be featured.
