Adrian College Presents Faculty Recital posted 9/9/10
Toledo resident and Adrian College faculty member takes the stage

Adrian, Mich. - The Adrian College Music Department presents a free concert featuring three members of its faculty on Sunday, September 26 at 3:00 pm in Dawson Auditorium. Baritone Eric Graber will present a varied program of classical and contemporary works by Bellini, Fauré, Hahn, Strauss, Kingsley and more.  He will be joined by Michael Gartz at the piano and Cecilia Johnson on the violin.

Graber has appeared with the opera companies of Eugene, Ore.; Central City, Colo.; Michigan Opera Theatre – Detroit, Mich.; Tulsa, Okla.; Des Moines, Iowa; Dayton, Ohio; Toledo Ohio; The Denver Symphony Orchestra; Townsend Opera Players of Modesto, Calif.; and Colorado Opera Troupe of Denver. With these companies he received glowing reviews in such roles as Baron Zeta in “The Merry Widow,” Tonio in “I Pagliacci,” Sharpless in “Madama Butterfly,” Giorgio Germont in “La Traviata,” Gianni in “Gianni Schicchi,” Frank in “Die Fledermaus,” Daniel Webster in “The Devil and Daniel Webster,” and more.

Graber received the Arts Foundation of Michigan Award, is a two-time winner of the Barthelmes Award – Metropolitan Opera Competition, and the Florence O. Wilson Voice Award for "most promising career in opera!"

Previous performances on the Adrian College campus were as soloist with the Adrian Symphony Orchestra last December in Handel’s “Messiah” and last spring as soloist with the Lenawee Community Chorus/Adrian College choirs in Mozart’s “Requiem.”

Graber is a native of Northwest Ohio and resides in Toledo. Currently in his second year as member of the voice faculty at Adrian College, he also maintains a voice studio in Toledo. Visit his website at www.singcerelystudios.com .
