Fall Acquaintance Day at Adrian College posted 9/17/10
Event showcases the College’s faculty, programs and facilities

ADRIAN, Mich. – Fall Acquaintance Day on Saturday, September 25th, will showcase how the College’s faculty, labs, and programs bring theory and practice together in over 40 academic programs. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

“Acquaintance Day is a great way to experience the scope and depth of the Adrian College learning structure and to more fully understand how the College’s innovative approach produces innovative professionals,” said Frank Hribar, vice president for Enrollment. “And the College has been recognized for being the #1 ‘Up-and-Coming College in the Midwest.’”

Hribar said Adrian has some of the best academic and athletic facilities available to undergraduates in the world. “Our world-class faculty and staff will be in attendance and ready to talk with students and families who want to experience the campus and the spirit of the College. You’ll have an opportunity to discuss Adrian’s renowned Ribbons of Excellence curriculum, its relevant majors, minors and concentrations, and the recently developed Institutes. Adrian’s new graduate program in Athletic Training will be featured, too,” he added.

Registration begins at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Welcome session for all participants at 10 a.m. Guests attending Acquaintance Day will see Adrian’s recent facility renovations at Spencer Music Hall, the Peele Science Lecture Hall, the College View North Apartments and Rush Center for Communication Arts & Sciences.

Prospective students and their families will have a chance to meet current faculty and students, tour campus facilities and attend an Academic Expo from 11:00 a.m. to noon and a Student Activities & Athletics Expo from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Students can meet with admissions, career planning and financial aid representatives.  A number of current Adrian College students will also be on-hand to tell stories about their classroom and internship experiences. A special session is offered for transfer students.
